The destruction of BUILDING 2 (Sales Office)

The old sales office had to go, to make room for our new 70 ton TRAVELIFT.  On 1st of November, the YACHT WORKS crew started removing windows, doors and furnishings from the building.  On the 2nd, they had some real fun, literally tearing out the walls.  The HYSTER, normally used to lift boats and other heavy marine equipment around the yard, was used as a wrecking fork, Lifting and slashing out sections of the walls, 'till the building came tumbling down.

Once the building was mostly on the ground, Manual Labor and the rest of the crew moved in with gloves, saws, and sledge hammers to break it into manageable pieces.

With a high powered chainsaw, and the HYSTER again, big chunks of the building were carved off and moved into the waiting dumpster.

In less than a day, a recognizable building became a recognizable slab.  Final clean up took less than a day.

Now the area is clear for the dredging out of the new additional launch well, which will accommodate our 70 Ton Travelift.

What's next?  Well, we can't say too much right now, but keep watching this web site, and stop by the yard to see what's happening this winter.   Hint: you may want to keep an eye on that building (#3) just to the north of where Building 2 used to be.
