Begining in 1983 when Bernd Schneider
sipped a glass of spoiled wine. Together with his brother John, an engineer, the
wine trader from Delft has developed a concept for a device to preserve opened bottles of
wine. The Vacuum Wine Saver is now used in 20 million households in over 55
countries throughout the world.
In 1986 Vacu Products B.V. was
founded to manufacture and distribute the Vacuum Wine saver, soon to be followed by other
Inovative houseware products. Nowadays the Vacu Vin range of products has proven
