BUILDING 3
is DisassembledEarly in November, Yacht
Works' crew started carefully taking apart Building 3. The building, made of steel
framing and sheet steel side and roof panels, was unbolted, marked and stored. (It
will be reconstructed later this winter, to become the new ship's store.)
Over a period of a few days, the skeleton of the building
was revealed. Then smaller frames were marked, removed, and stored.
Finally, the big red iron frames of the building were
loosened and lowered to the ground with a crane. Each of these frames was
disassembled further and stored.
In the end, only a flat slab was left. In a couple of
days, even this was reduced to rubble by Lighthouse Construction.
Keep tuned, there is more to come on the Marina
Construction page.
