The Pershing 90 shows how great design and exquisite craftsmanship combined with top performance.

Tilli Antonelli and Fulvio De Simoni designed the Pershing 90 with the look and character of a megayacht. The shape and lines are aggressive and captivating and its interiors are remarkable both for their size and their exquisite elegance. The details are what give this yacht its unmistakeable character.

On the main deck, the salon is a single, large open space that stretches a third of the length of the boat. Double sliding glass doors open onto the stern dining and relaxing area, while to the bow, there are two hydraulically operated side doors. The helm station has three high seats and the aviation-style cockpit with a chaise lounge next to the pilot’s seat to port. A Captain’s navigation station lays to starboard with the Naviop vessel control to monitor all onboard systems and a Maptech I3 GPS Plotter with radar.

This pilot area is behind a glass screen that turns opaque at the touch of a button. A focal point of the salon in this U.S. version is a bar with high stools. A dark strip in the ceiling glitters with pinpricks of light, giving the impression of a night sky. The pale leather U-shaped sofa is opposite a 42-inch TV that lowers down into the solid oak cabinets.. The hangar opening is completely separate from the cockpit and the stern deck makes it very easy to launch water toys. Sun lounges are positioned on the foredeck, aft deck, and flybridge.

The US version, three staterooms layout features a entertainment lounge on the lower deck complete with home theater, large-screen TV and large darker leather sofa. The lounge separates the master suite, located aft, from the twin cabin and the VIP suite. The air-conditioning has been upgraded for tropical climates, and all of the electronics and appliances can be readily serviced in the Western Hemisphere.

The two crew cabins aft have a single and a bunk and are light and spacious, yet occupy only 94 square feet, including the bathroom with shower.

The practical galley offers a full range of top of the line appliances, including a side by side refrigerator freezer. Access to the galley is provided by two sets of stairs-one in the corner of the salon and the other in the external stern dining area, In addition to a stern dining area with sunbathing pad, there is a private bow dining area with a sunbathing platform and sunbeds on the flying bridge.

The cabins and entertainment lounge are accessed by steps leading down from the front of the main salon; all the cabins are natural oak and have light leather ceilings that match the grain of the oak. The twin cabin has a wenge wood floor and Japanese-style screens for blinds that sliding back to cover the porthole. An en suite bathroom with shower is decorated with light Bisazza mosaic. The VIP suite toward the bow has a larger shower than the guest cabin and the decorative Bisazza mosaic is a shade darker. The full-beam master stateroom features a custom leather floor. The dressing area has fitted wardrobes with a large mirror, a curved oak writing desk, and bar with fridge. The adjoining large, en suite bathroom is separated from the bedroom area with sliding Japanese-style screens. Three vertical windows on each side of the stateroom offer a view directly at water level.

Arneson surface-piercing drives, powered by a pair of 2,435 hp MTU diesel engines, propel the 90 to a top speed of 50 mph.

Cranchi presented its second new model for the 2010 season with the Fifty 6 Soft Top launched in Genoa. This new model is third in Cranchi’s upper size Yacht Class range and number three for using Volvo IPS drive in the family of this Italian builder. Cranchi’s Fifty 6 Soft Top follows recent sport yacht trends for a hard top with a very open feel on the main living cockpit deck. This means a fully opening soft top, and sides opened up to allow fresh air. Measuring an overall length of sixty feet this new Cranchi makes the exterior a very spacious one with the usual layout, C-shaped settee, Sunpad aft and an unusual central helm station with two bucket seats. Down below is space for two large cabins, mid ship for the owner, to fore for the VIP guests, and a medium sized third L-shaped bunk for guests, which are joined here by a C-shaped saloon, and galley. Power is from twin Volvo 700hp engines propelled to the forward looking IPS pods; with over 30 knots wide open throttle speeds.
